Cookies

In common with most internet sites, this site uses “cookies”.

Under EU-imposed English law, I have to tell you that, and offer you the option to decline their use.

If you accept them, your consent will automatically lapse after a year, and you’ll be asked for your permission again.

Cookies are small packets of data which are left to help your browser improve the way the site is used.  They hold no data that identifies you personally, but help in site design by giving me information about things like:

  • Which browser you are using (so I can support new ones)
  • Your screen resolution (so text doesn’t over-flow the visible screen)
  • The route you take through the site (so I can make pertinent information more accessible)

You can delete any or all of the cookies stored in your browser manually or automatically.  How to do this varies by browser but instructions will be in the ‘Help’ section of the support pages.  You should search on “delete cookies”.  That said, cookies are there to improve the way this (and any) site works, and I’d advise you to accept those of this and any trusted site.

Cookies cannot run programs or introduce spyware or viruses: they are just dumb bits of data.
